Capacity Procurement Representative - ICS
The Capacity Procurement Representative at Confidential Client is responsible for negotiating carrier rates to meet load and margin goals while managing freight movement and ensuring timely delivery. This role involves leveraging the Carrier360 platform to optimize freight tendering and carrier relationships, acting as a liaison between internal teams and carriers to deliver best-in-class service and operational efficiency in a dynamic supply chain environment.

What You’ll Do
Under routine supervision, you will negotiate carrier capacity and rates to meet load expectations while protecting margin. You will market and utilize the Carrier360 platform to tender freight, grow a reliable carrier base, and ensure timely, accurate execution of shipments.
- Negotiate carrier purchase rates to meet revenue and margin goals
- Tender loads and maintain shipment and customer records in Carrier360
- Act as liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers to resolve operational issues
- Monitor freight in transit and obtain carrier updates to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
- Proactively escalate and communicate service failures to minimize cost and delays
- Verify carrier authenticity and tracking prior to scheduled pickups
- Use market knowledge to optimize negotiation tactics and sourcing decisions
- Support cross-functional teams to promote safety and best-in-class service
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications (required):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Up to 1 year experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or equivalent military experience — OR equivalent demonstration of required skills via education, certification, or other experience
- Ability to work across multiple shifts (including nights and/or weekends) when needed
- Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with carriers and internal teams
- High attention to detail and accurate information processing
- Good judgment and decision-making under time pressure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and adapt to shifting directives
- Comfort managing accountability conversations and performing in a high-pressure environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
- Up to 1 year of relevant transportation/logistics or account management experience
- Familiarity with freight procurement workflows and carrier vetting

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay shown on source listing: $65,415 per year (estimated)
- Starting pay may vary based on skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications
- Role may be eligible for annual bonus or incentives in accordance with the company’s bonus plans
