Position Snapshot

Confidential Client seeks an entry- to mid-level Buyer / Purchasing professional to support production planning and procurement activities for a medical device manufacturing facility in Zelienople, PA. This is a W2 contract (40 hrs/week, 1st shift) — 3 months, pay $20–25/hr. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (U.S. citizens or permanent residents).


What You’ll Do

This role supports manufacturing schedules and inventory goals through procurement and material planning.

  • Determine component requirements from MRP runs and plan procurement to support the production schedule
  • Place and manage purchase orders (MRO and MRP), set delivery requirements and payment terms
  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, delivery, invoicing, and expediting
  • Support regular reporting: monthly inventory forecasts, PPV actuals/forecasts, quarterly supplier scorecards
  • Participate in inventory reconciliation—cycle counts and annual physicals
  • Maintain MRP/ERP production planning and inventory records; support continuous improvement (CIP/PPV)
  • Flag material availability issues and help develop mitigation plans
  • Participate in daily production meetings and special projects as assigned
  • Adhere to SOPs, cGMP, quality standards and ISO-13485 supplier controls requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field — or equivalent experience
  • ~3+ years’ experience in procurement, buyer/planner roles or equivalent experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills
  • Demonstrated communication, negotiation, and vendor-relations skills
  • Working knowledge of ISO-13485 (supplier controls) and quality functions in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience with cost analytics, purchase price variance (PPV) tracking, and supplier scorecards a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship (U.S. citizens or permanent residents)

Training & Development

  • Training requirements are maintained per job description; controlled records maintained by Human Resources
  • Onboarding will include systems, quality and process training specific to the confidential client’s medical device manufacturing processes

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Primarily onsite in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
  • Regularly required to sit, stand and walk for extended periods; may occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs
  • Moderate-to-high concentration required due to workload complexity and production pressures

  • Achievement of inventory and cost objectives while maximizing resource efficiency
  • On-time material availability for production
  • Backorder management and timely, accurate production reporting
