Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Buyer/Planner to analyze MRP/ERP data, convert supply/demand status into purchasing requirements, and help ensure on-time material availability for production of ice-sports consumer products.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and respond to MRP-driven and manually generated material and shop order requisitions.
- Monitor and help maintain accuracy of Manufacturing and Purchasing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Report material availability and risks to operations and management.
- Maintain schedules and track status of deliverables, actions, and open issues.
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure delivery of materials to meet on-site production needs.
- Manage supplier relationships (lead times, part quality, delivery schedules).
- Create and release requisitions and purchase orders for components, samples, prototypes, and finished goods.
- Support competitive sourcing and procurement initiatives to improve quality, cost, and service.
- Assist product development by identifying and qualifying potential suppliers.
Qualifications
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP process planning (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to identify requirements, process requisitions, and set orders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter who completes tasks on time and with attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Industrial Management, or equivalent experience.
- 0–5+ years experience in inventory management, demand planning, or allocation planning; experience with electro-mechanical consumer products is a plus.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude.
Extra Credit / Nice-to-Have
- Direct-to-consumer / e-commerce planning experience.
- Experience with hockey or ice-sports (player, coach, or parent).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $50,000–$70,000 (commensurate with experience).

Location & Schedule
This position is based in West Acton, MA and is expected to be full-time, on-site (Confidential Client’s production/warehouse headquarters).
