What You’ll Do

This entry-level Buyer role supports procurement for an aerospace/engineering operation. You will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure the timely purchase and delivery of materials, products, and aviation components.

• Assist with purchasing materials, products, and aviation components
• Create, process, and monitor purchase orders
• Request, compare, and review supplier quotes
• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery status
• Track open orders and follow up on delayed materials
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records and documentation
• Support sourcing and supplier management activities, including performance tracking
• Help resolve order, invoice, or delivery discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and inventory teams on purchasing needs and material planning
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and support continuous improvement
• Learn and follow the client’s internal procurement procedures, systems, and aviation-specific requirements

Qualifications

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, supplier management, or related field OR 1–3 years of buyer/procurement experience
• Familiarity or interest in aerospace / engineering supply chains
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for supplier and cross-functional coordination
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Basic Excel skills; comfortable learning procurement / ERP systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Nice to have

• Previous experience with aviation components or regulated industries
• Exposure to supplier performance metrics and inventory planning
• Familiarity with purchase order systems and invoice reconciliation

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $28.00 – $38.00 per hour (Contract-to-Hire)
