Summary

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level (Level 1) Manufacturing Support Team Member / Buy-Part Planner to support production and procurement activities at the Highlands Ranch, CO facility. This role owns purchase-requisition (PR) creation, validation, and lifecycle management for non-manufactured (buy) parts and works closely with Demand Management, Quality, Procurement, and Production to ensure material availability and production continuity.

What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a detail-oriented Buy-Part Planner who can execute day-to-day material planning and procurement tasks in a fast-paced, shift-based manufacturing environment.

  • Validate and manage PR lifecycle: releases, holds, changes, and closures
  • Reconcile demand, inventory, and procurement data to minimize shortages and excess
  • Process exception messages, ECONs, material master extensions, and expired material maintenance
  • Act as a liaison between Demand Management, Quality, Procurement, and Production to resolve material issues
  • Support surge ("go-fast") actions and production priorities when necessary
  • Maintain KPI visibility (PR age, OTIF, inventory turns, forecast bias) and support continuous improvement initiatives

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile complex data sets (demand vs. inventory vs. procurement)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a shift-based, deadline-driven environment and support surge actions as needed
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas); comfortable interpreting operational metrics

Preferred / Desired Skills

These qualifications will make you more competitive but are not required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Advanced SAP MM/PP experience (PR creation, release/hold handling, ECON workflow)
  • End-to-end understanding of demand-to-supply processes (forecast → MRP → PR/PO → inventory)
  • Familiarity with make-vs-buy decisions, subcontracting, and central procurement routing
  • Ability to interpret forecast bias, inventory turns, PR-age, and OTIF metrics
  • Comfortable with basic statistical methods and building simple dashboards
