Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring Business Risk Consultants (BT Summer Intern Conversions Only) to join a growing Risk Advisory / Business Risk Services practice. This role is ideal for Summer 2026 interns converting to full-time who want to build hands-on experience in enterprise risk management, internal controls, compliance, and data analytics while supporting clients across industries.
What You’ll Do
- Work on risk advisory and business risk engagements—assessing governance, internal controls, compliance, and IT/cyber risk
- Support client teams to identify risk exposures, design controls, and recommend practical remediation plans
- Assist with internal audit, risk assessments, control testing, and reporting to management
- Use data analytics and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint to analyze results and present findings
- Collaborate on client deliverables and work closely with engagement teams and client stakeholders
- Participate in an AI-enabled practice—leveraging tools that accelerate analysis and insight generation
- Travel to client sites as needed and be available for busy-season or project-based overtime
Responsibilities
- Contribute to risk assessments, controls documentation, testing, and reporting
- Help design and implement process improvements and control frameworks
- Prepare materials for client meetings and executive summaries
- Apply data analysis techniques to support evidence-based conclusions
- Work collaboratively on multiple engagements and support practice growth initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, Public Health, Health Administration, Information Systems, Technology, or related field
- If an accounting major, progress toward meeting CPA educational requirements is preferred
- Strong academic record (preferred GPA 3.0+)
- Relevant internship or work experience and/or professional organization involvement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analytics tools is a plus
- Strong communication, time management, analytical, and teamwork skills
- Ability to travel as required and flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods
- Reside within commutable distance to a Confidential Client office and be willing to work on-site regularly
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future
- Must be a current Summer 2026 Confidential Client intern (conversion candidates only)
Compensation & Locations
The position has location-based pay ranges. Actual compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
- Irvine, CA: $78,280–$102,760
- Washington, DC: $78,000–$107,230
- New York City, NY: $81,000–$111,700
- National range: $61,260–$116,160
