Confidential Client is seeking a Business Management Trainee based in Chicago, IL. This entry-level role is designed for motivated candidates who want hands-on experience in business operations, project coordination, market research, and financial planning — with a clear mentorship path into management and leadership roles.
Key responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of strategic business initiatives and operational improvements
- Work closely with senior managers to coordinate projects and monitor progress against objectives
- Conduct in-depth market, industry, and competitor research to inform strategy
- Prepare client-facing reports, executive presentations, and internal documentation
- Attend client meetings, planning sessions, and strategic briefings as needed
- Track deadlines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure timely completion of projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align activities and meet company targets
- Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and growth opportunities
- Contribute to promotional strategies and campaign execution
- Assist with financial planning, forecasting, and budget reviews
- Maintain professional client communication and accurate records
- Support onboarding/training for new hires and participate in development programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong analytical thinking and organizational skills
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working in collaborative, team-driven environments
- Basic understanding of project management principles
- Detail-oriented with effective problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to manage responsibilities in a dynamic environment
- Internship, co-op or academic project experience in a business setting is a plus
- Foundational knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis

Compensation & employment type
- Salary: $42,000 — $46,000 per year
- Employment type: Full-time, Permanent (Internship opportunities may also be available)
