Role Overview

This entry-level Business Intelligence Associate role supports a confidential client’s BI/reporting team in Norwell, MA on a hybrid schedule. The position focuses on learning core BI skills (Power BI, data modeling, Excel) while contributing to regular reporting, dashboard maintenance, CRM reporting, and early-stage AI adoption activities. This is a hands-on, mentored role designed for recent grads, interns, or career changers with foundational BI exposure and a strong willingness to learn.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models under close guidance.
  • Learn and apply Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas and introductory VBA.
  • Support automation tasks (e.g., CRM data updates, scheduled email reports).
  • Help maintain internal CRM quick-view dashboards and automated reports.
  • Assist with AI adoption: collect prompts, document best practices, and apply AI tools (e.g., Claude) to reporting tasks.
  • Maintain and organize a SharePoint site for AI knowledge sharing and enablement materials.
  • Gather reporting requirements from business users and translate them, with guidance, into reporting outputs.
  • Build foundational skills in DAX measures, Power Query, and data transformations.
  • Validate report accuracy and participate in QA with senior team members.
  • Develop domain familiarity with the insurance/financial-services context relevant to analytics work.
  • Actively participate in training, mentorship, and ongoing skill development.

Required Qualifications

  • Foundational exposure to Power BI and Microsoft Excel (classroom, internship, or self-study).
  • Basic understanding of data and reporting concepts.
  • Familiarity with or strong interest in AI tools (e.g., Claude).
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 apps, including SharePoint.
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive and coachable attitude.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn the insurance and financial-services domain.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or coursework in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields.
  • Early exposure to DAX, Power Query, or SQL.
  • Interest in automation tools such as Power Automate.
  • Recent bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative, business, or technical field.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range (provided by client): $20.44/hr to $31.00/hr.
