Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Business Development Representative to support growth in industrial design‑build construction. This developmental sales role focuses on identifying and qualifying manufacturing and industrial project opportunities, building relationships with key decision‑makers, and maintaining business development activity in the CRM. This role is based in Northlake, GA and may involve local travel for client meetings and site visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Research industrial and manufacturing companies and identify fit for Confidential Client’s services.
- Locate and document contacts such as plant managers, engineering managers, facility managers, maintenance managers, and capital project leads.
- Monitor facility expansions, equipment installations, plant modernization, capital investments, and other project signals.
- Conduct initial outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, and networking.
- Introduce Confidential Client’s industrial construction and design‑build capabilities.
- Qualify opportunities and schedule introductory meetings with the Business Development Manager.
- Maintain consistent, professional follow‑up with prospective clients.
- Enter and update company, contact, activity, and opportunity data in the CRM.
- Support proposal preparation, meeting materials, and follow‑up activities.
- Attend client meetings, facility visits, trade shows, and industry organizations as needed.
- Develop a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural steel construction as it relates to industrial projects.
Education & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Manufacturing, Sales, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
- Entry‑level candidates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous construction experience is helpful but not required.
- Internships or experience in sales, business development, manufacturing, engineering, industrial distribution, or technical environments are a plus.
