What You’ll Do

This on-site Business Development Representative (BDR) role is a full-cycle sales position focused on new business development, account growth, and customer relationship management. You will work from the Charlotte, NC office to source, qualify, and close opportunities while supporting account management activities.

  • Develop new business through cold calling, prospecting, networking, and territory development
  • Qualify leads and manage sales opportunities through the CRM
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Conduct product presentations and sales meetings with decision makers
  • Identify upsell and account-growth opportunities and execute follow-up plans
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely execution of customer orders and projects
  • Track pipeline, customer interactions, and sales activity in CRM systems
  • Represent the Confidential Client at trade shows, customer visits, and industry events
  • Support marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns when needed
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and responsiveness

Top Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; BS with sales internship experience will be considered
  • Sales, business development, customer service, or account management experience
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating customer conversations (hunter mentality)
  • Experience using CRM systems and strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred

  • Marketing or digital marketing experience
  • Technical, industrial, manufacturing, packaging, or product-based sales exposure
  • Familiarity with SAP, Smartsheet, Shopify, or similar platforms

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay: $28.00 per hour (6-month contract-to-hire)
  • Conversion salary after 6 months: approximately $60,000 annually, plus bonus potential
  • Annual bonus program based on company performance

Pay offered within the listed range will depend on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors.


Travel & Workplace

  • Workplace type: Fully on-site in Charlotte, NC (South End)
  • Travel: Approximately 6–8 times per year for trade shows and customer meetings across North America
