The team focuses on mergers & acquisitions and capital raising for middle-market technology and technology services companies. This role supports the firm’s business development engine by sourcing target companies, conducting research, and helping bring senior bankers into client conversations.

What You’ll Do

You will join an entry-level business development function responsible for sourcing and qualifying prospects that feed the firm’s deal pipeline. Typical responsibilities include:

• Conduct targeted market and company research to identify acquisition and capital-raising opportunities.
• Analyze financial and market data to generate concise insights and prioritize outreach lists.
• Build and maintain CRM/pipeline records and ensure accurate, timely data for deal teams.
• Prepare professional client-facing materials, including pitch decks, teasers, and outreach templates.
• Support senior bankers with outreach strategies, meeting preparation, and follow-up.
• Manage multiple research and outreach projects in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.
• Use Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools daily; evaluate and apply AI tools to speed research and workflows when appropriate.

Qualifications

We’re looking for hungry, detail-oriented candidates who want to grow into a long-term role in technology investment banking. Required or strongly preferred qualifications:

• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial and market data.
• Experience conducting market research and industry analysis — experience in technology, software, or financial services a plus.
• Comfort with finance concepts, transaction materials, and basic valuation metrics.
• Ability to create and deliver professional presentations and pitch materials.
• Effective written and verbal communication for internal and external interactions.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM or pipeline tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related field; internships or relevant experience in investment banking, consulting, or corporate development preferred.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.
• Demonstrated interest in the technology/software ecosystem and eagerness to learn.

• Estimated salary: $99,171 per year (estimated)
