What You’ll Do

This Finance IT Business/Data Analyst will partner with business and technology stakeholders to support an End of Day Consistency initiative (project codename: Mongoose). You will translate business needs into clear requirements, analyze data flows and discrepancies across multiple systems, and deliver actionable insights and documentation to support governance and remediation.

  • Partner with business and technology teams to gather, document, and validate requirements; write clear user stories and functional specifications for delivery teams.
  • Analyze end-of-day data flows across source systems; reconcile discrepancies and propose remediation steps to improve consistency and accuracy.
  • Query and manipulate large datasets to support business, risk, and operational reporting.
  • Document data definitions, lineage, and methodologies for governance and auditability.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations to surface trends and exceptions for stakeholders.
  • Present findings to senior stakeholders, tailoring technical detail to the audience.
  • Support UAT and post-implementation activities: design test scenarios, track issues to resolution, and produce status reporting and governance artifacts.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years in a data analyst, business analyst, or similar analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
  • Working knowledge of a scripting/analytics language such as Python or R.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts and general ledger (GL) reconciliations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of data accuracy and integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior exposure to financial services, market data, or regulatory reporting is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with end-of-day processing, reconciliation projects, or initiatives focused on data consistency.
  • Familiarity with data lineage, governance frameworks, or audit requirements.
  • Experience working in cross-functional agile delivery teams.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay range at commencement: $100,000 – $120,000 per year.
  • Total compensation may include bonus, equity, and a full range of benefits (healthcare, retirement/401(k), paid time off, parental leave), subject to position and location.
  • If hired in the U.S., employment will be on an at-will basis.
