Business Data Analyst I
The Business Data Analyst I at Confidential Client is responsible for transforming operational data into strategic insights to improve performance and reduce costs within a warehouse environment. This role involves developing and maintaining Power BI reports, performing data analysis using SQL and DAX, and collaborating with leadership and functional teams to support data-driven decision-making. What You’ll Do
As a Business Data Analyst I you will turn operational data into clear, actionable insights that improve performance and reduce cost in warehouse operations. You’ll partner with site leadership and cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain BI solutions and reports.
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support day-to-day operations and strategic decisions
- Build end-to-end Power BI solutions: data ingestion, modeling, DAX measures, visuals, and performance tuning
- Use SQL (and/or Python/R when needed) to extract, clean, and transform data from multiple systems (WMS, timekeeping, finance, HR)
- Analyze trends and metrics to identify efficiency, productivity, and cost-reduction opportunities
- Translate analytical findings into concise presentations and operational recommendations for site and sector leadership
- Manage analytics projects from requirements through delivery, including stakeholder communication and documentation
- Provide day-to-day Power BI support and act as a point-of-contact for report questions and enhancements
- Ensure data quality and consistency across reports used for internal and customer-facing purposes
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field — OR 4 years equivalent experience
- 1+ years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related role
- Hands-on experience writing SQL to query, clean, and transform data (required)
- Proficiency building dashboards and reports in Power BI, including data modeling and visuals (required)
- Experience writing DAX expressions to automate and enhance reports (required)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a foundation in statistical concepts and data modeling (preferred)
- Excellent communication and presentation ability—able to explain data clearly to non-technical stakeholders (preferred)
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced operations environment (required)
- Must be able to work fully onsite when role is based in a warehouse (required)
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or timekeeping systems
- Familiarity with Python or R for data transformation or advanced analysis
- Prior exposure to supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations analytics
Compensation & Benefits
- National salary range: $70,000 - $115,000 per year. (For roles within California the range is $70,304 - $115,000; Washington: $80,169 - $115,000.)
- Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, employee stock purchase options (where applicable), and paid time off — exact package provided by our client.
Location & Work Arrangement
- Location: Newnan, GA — this role supports onsite warehouse operations. Candidates must be able to work fully onsite as required by the site.
