What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Business Consultant to support finance and accounting transformation work for government and commercial clients. You will learn client business processes, contribute to requirements gathering, help configure and test enterprise finance solutions, and use data and AI-enabled tools to support recommendations.
- Learn client financial operations, industry context, and organizational goals.
- Analyze business processes and gather requirements via stakeholder meetings and workshops.
- Document business and functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Support configuration, testing, and validation of enterprise finance and budgeting systems.
- Help analyze processes across budgeting, forecasting, AP/AR, general ledger, vendor management, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to design and deliver solutions that meet client needs.
- Support system testing activities including unit testing, SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
- Assist in troubleshooting functional issues and supporting production environments.
- Create user documentation, training materials, and client-facing deliverables.
- Use data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau) to identify trends and support recommendations.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to summarize requirements, draft documentation, generate user stories, and identify risks while applying responsible AI and data-privacy practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- 0–2 years of professional experience (internships, co-ops, research, or full-time).
- Preferred majors: Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with interest in business process improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new business processes and technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel; exposure to SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.
- Exposure (coursework, internships, or projects) to ERP/financial systems, business analysis, AI tools, or automation technologies is preferred but not required.
- Eligibility to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role is $50,800 - $83,800 per year. Exact compensation will depend on experience, skills, and other factors.

Location & Work Model
This position is based in Pico Heights, CA and follows a hybrid work model. You will spend time onsite with clients and in the local Confidential Client office as project needs dictate.
