What You’ll Do
As a Business Analytics Summer Scholar you will join a client service team to transform data into actionable insights that support decision-making across public sector clients. Typical responsibilities include:
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to turn data into meaningful recommendations
- Support research, statistical analysis, and data management to inform business decisions
- Prepare clear, well-organized deliverables and visualizations for stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to project workstreams and support delivery of client engagements
- Pursue opportunities to specialize in advanced analytical techniques or domain areas
Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2028 with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Statistics, Technology, or a related program
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Reside within a commutable distance (e.g., ~100-mile radius) of the assigned Sacramento office and able to commute daily if required
- Ability to travel up to 50% on average, depending on client needs
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
- At least 18 years of age at time of employment
Preferred
- 3.4 cumulative GPA preferred
- Internship, coursework, or project experience in analytics, data science, statistics, applied math, computer science, accounting, finance, or related fields

Compensation & Schedule
- A reasonable estimate of the current wage is $38/hour.
- This is an entry-level summer opportunity intended for students and early-career candidates.
- Employment type: Full time (Summer Scholar assignment)
