Summary

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is seeking a Business Analyst / Data Analyst for roles based in Phoenix, AZ. This is a W2 contract opportunity with onsite, hybrid, or remote work arrangements. Candidates from entry-level through mid-level (0–5 years) are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

You will support business stakeholders by turning data into actionable insights and helping drive data-informed decisions across product, marketing, finance, and operations.

• Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Build, maintain, and document reports and dashboards using tools such as Excel and Tableau.
• Write and validate SQL queries to extract and prepare data for analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into analytics deliverables.
• Evaluate current business processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency or accuracy.
• Support forecasting, planning, and KPI tracking to inform strategy and execution.
• Assist project teams through planning, execution, and delivery; communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• 0–5 years of experience in analytics, business analysis, or a related field.
• Hands-on familiarity with Excel, SQL, and Tableau.
• Experience or exposure to CRM/ERP systems (reporting, data extracts, or light admin).
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (Green Card holders and U.S. citizens encouraged; employer will verify work authorization as required by law).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative or business discipline (preferred but not required).
• Prior experience building dashboards and translating metrics into business recommendations.
• Experience working with stakeholders in Product, Marketing, or Finance.
• Familiarity with data modeling, forecasting techniques, or A/B testing basics.

Compensation & Location

• Estimated salary: $64,547 per year (estimated). Actual compensation will be determined by the Confidential Client and may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work arrangement.
• Location: Phoenix, AZ — this position supports onsite, hybrid, or remote work depending on the role and team needs.
• Employment type: W2 Contract (CONTRACTOR).
