What You’ll Do
This entry-level Business Analyst role in Houston, TX is an Intern → Full‑Time conversion opportunity that gives recent graduates broad exposure to commercial operations and supply networks. As a Business Analyst (intern to full-time), you will support system administration, data analysis, process documentation, and cross-functional solution design to help the business run more efficiently.
- Provide day-to-day system administration support for business unit systems; troubleshoot user issues and escalate as needed
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements
- Analyze existing processes and systems to identify improvement opportunities and operational bottlenecks
- Collect, clean, and analyze data to reveal trends and inform business decisions
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards that track key performance indicators
- Develop process maps and workflow diagrams to illustrate current and future states
- Work with cross-functional teams to design, test, and support process and system enhancements
- Assist with user communication, training materials, and end-user training for new systems or process changes
- Support internal and external audit requests as a business liaison
- Monitor industry trends and recommend continuous improvement ideas
Who You Are / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 0–2 years of professional experience (internship or co-op experience welcome)
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Comfortable working with data and building basic reports/dashboards (Excel required; SQL/BI tools a plus)
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to translate business needs into actionable requirements
- Collaborative team player who can work with cross-functional stakeholders
- Basic process-mapping or workflow documentation experience preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience or interest in commercial/retail/energy operations
- Exposure to system administration or support
- Familiarity with SQL, Tableau/Power BI, or similar reporting tools
- Internship or project experience analyzing business processes
