Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Business Analysts as part of its Commercial team in Houston, TX (Intern → Full‑Time conversion). This role provides recent graduates broad exposure to commercial operations and a coast‑to‑coast fuel supply network in a supported, team environment. Ideal candidates are analytical, service-oriented, and eager to learn business systems and processes used in the energy / petroleum sector.

What You’ll Do

• Provide day-to-day system administration support for business-unit systems, including troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements.
• Analyze existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends and insights that inform decisions.
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators.
• Develop process maps and workflow diagrams that illustrate current and future states; identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Work cross-functionally to design and propose efficient solutions.
• Participate in testing and implementation of new systems or process enhancements.
• Communicate changes to internal stakeholders and train end users on new systems/processes.
• Serve as a business liaison for internal and external audits.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to support continuous improvement.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• 0–2 years of professional experience (entry-level).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to learn business systems and create reports/dashboards.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced commercial environment in the energy (oil & gas) industry.
