Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring Entry‑Level Business Analysts for an internship with strong potential for conversion to full‑time employment in Houston, TX. This role provides hands‑on exposure to commercial operations, business systems, data analysis, and cross‑functional process improvement in a collaborative team environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide day‑to‑day system administration support for business unit systems, troubleshoot issues, and support end‑users
• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements
• Analyze existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
• Collect, clean, and analyze data to surface trends and actionable insights
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs
• Develop process maps and workflow diagrams to document current and future states
• Work with cross‑functional teams to design and recommend practical solutions
• Participate in testing for new system functionality and process changes
• Train internal users and communicate process or system changes clearly
• Support internal and external audit requests as the business liaison
• Monitor industry best practices and recommend continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 0–2 years of professional experience (entry‑level / recent graduates encouraged)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable working with data and building basic reports/dashboards
• Good written and verbal communication; able to translate technical details into business terms
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities in a team environment

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) or SQL basics
• Familiarity with process mapping or workflow documentation
• Prior internship or project experience in commercial operations, supply chain, or energy industry analytics
