Position Overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is looking for motivated Entry‑level to Mid‑level Business Analysts / Data Analysts in Tampa, FL. This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical thinking who want to work with SQL, Excel, and Tableau to generate insights that guide product, marketing, and finance decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Work with structured and semi-structured data to uncover trends, build reports, and surface actionable insights
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, and other stakeholders to translate business questions into analytic requirements
• Build dashboards and visualizations in Tableau (or similar tools) to communicate findings
• Query databases using SQL and perform data manipulation and analysis in Excel
• Support forecasting, strategic planning, and data‑driven decision making
• Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements
• Support analytics projects from scoping through delivery and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s is a plus)
• 0–5 years of relevant experience (freshers with strong foundational skills and interest in analytics are encouraged)
• Working knowledge of:
  • SQL
  • Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP or equivalent)
  • Tableau or other BI/visualization tools
  • Familiarity with CRM/ERP platforms is helpful
• Strong analytical thinking, clear written and verbal communication, and problem‑solving ability
• Able to work with cross‑functional teams and translate analytics into business recommendations

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Python/R for data analysis
• Exposure to data modeling, ETL concepts, or cloud data warehouses
• Prior internship or project experience in analytics, BI, or related fields
