What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Data Analyst (SQL) on a contract, hybrid basis. You'll work with business partners and engineering to source data, build SQL queries, and deliver dashboards and reports that drive decisions.

• Support an internal application by translating business needs into clear requirements and user stories
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for new data sourcing and analysis
• Build and maintain Tableau reports and dashboards for stakeholders
• Create and manage JIRA stories and acceptance criteria for developers and QA
• Lead or coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support application releases
• Manage stakeholder deliverables and timelines across upstream and downstream teams
• Troubleshoot data issues and implement data quality checks

Required Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills — ability to write and optimize complex queries
• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst working with data sourcing and reporting
• Experience building Tableau reports and working with data visualization best practices
• Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and hands-on experience using JIRA
• Experience leading or supporting UAT
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
• Local candidates in Charlotte, NC preferred; this role is not open to C2C or sponsorship

• Prior experience in IT services, consulting, or internal business systems
• Knowledge of data modeling or ETL processes
• Experience with other BI tools or programming languages (Python, R) for analysis

Pay & Benefits

• Rate: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour (contract)
• Eligible contractors may have access to temporary-role benefits such as certain medical/dental/vision options, 401(k) offerings, short/long-term disability, and other programs depending on classification and length of engagement. Benefits vary and are subject to eligibility.

• Contract — Hybrid (Charlotte, NC)
