Role overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Business Analyst, Commercial Lines to support Commercial Lines operations and growth from their Manhattan, NY office. This entry-level to early-career role combines project support, data analysis, and dashboard development (including work with AI assistants such as Claude) to deliver actionable insights that drive organic growth and retention across field teams.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Chief Operating Officer, Commercial Lines on strategic and operational initiatives.
- Provide project management support for designated Commercial Lines projects.
- Analyze commercial lines data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps.
- Build and refine dashboard capabilities (including Claude-enabled workflows) to inform leadership and field teams.
- Collaborate with industry/product practice leaders and regional teams to address business needs.
- Prepare research, reports, and presentation materials for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Own assigned projects from scoping through execution with minimal supervision.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Entry level up to 2 years of relevant experience in insurance, operations, analytics, or a related area.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude) preferred.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with urgency and initiative.
- Problem-solver with creative thinking and the ability to execute independently.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and able to work cross-functionally.
Location & compensation
- Location: Manhattan, NY (onsite at the Manhattan office).
- Compensation: Estimated base salary approximately $136,155 per year (estimated figure provided by source).
