About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Electrical Engineer I as part of a structured Build4Growth program — a 14-month blended learning and on-the-job development track focused on cement plant operations and engineering fundamentals. This role supports electrical design, controls, and maintenance work at a cement manufacturing facility near Ballwin, MO.
What You’ll Do
- Practice and promote safety: assess risks, follow authorized procedures, and use appropriate PPE.
- Support electrical design and modifications consistent with plant standards.
- Program and maintain control systems (CTI PLCs, Ifix HMI, kiln and mill high-level control).
- Maintain network and IT support for local servers, switches, and virtual systems.
- Manage electrical and mechanical projects from scope through execution.
- Develop and maintain predictive/preventative maintenance (PM) routines and BOMs for electrical equipment.
- Prepare engineering scopes of work, cost estimates and capital justifications.
- Interface with contractors: solicit quotes, select vendors, and provide field direction.
- Perform feasibility and economic studies for proposed electrical modifications.
- Maintain and revise electrical drawings and standard specifications.
- Use SAP to purchase parts/services, review work orders, analyze reports, and track capital projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Entry level: 0–3 years experience.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and process control systems (preferred: CTI, PLC-5, SLC 500).
- Experience or coursework with instrumentation, motors, starters, and VFDs.
- Technical skills: SAP, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to follow all safety protocols and use required PPE. Where respirators are required, employees must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
- Willingness to participate in onsite training and rotational assignments as part of the Build4Growth program.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

- Estimated annual salary: $98,473 (estimated).
- This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
