What You’ll Do

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is looking for an early- to mid-level Business Systems Analyst to support risk management, regulatory reporting, and digital transformation initiatives. This is a Contract-to-Hire, fully onsite role in the Andover/Wichita, KS area.

• Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Create and maintain process maps, user stories, functional specifications, and test cases.
• Analyze business processes and recommend improvements and technical solutions that deliver measurable value.
• Support design, testing, and implementation of reporting, risk, and trading-related applications.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product owners in an Agile environment; support backlog grooming and sprint activities.
• Use SQL and data analysis to validate requirements, troubleshoot issues, and produce business-ready reporting.
• Coordinate UAT, support change management and deployment activities.
• Research emerging technologies (including AWS-based solutions) and evaluate fit for use cases.

What We’re Looking For

Required qualifications — candidates should be able to demonstrate most of the following:

• Early to mid-level experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements directly with business stakeholders.
• Strong SQL and Excel skills; comfortable with data analysis to support technical and business needs.
• Practical familiarity with the SDLC, Agile methodologies, and backlog management.
• Clear written and verbal communication, strong analytical thinking, and stakeholder management.
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CIS, Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS cloud technologies and cloud-based solutions.
• Background supporting regulatory reporting, risk management, or financial systems.
• Knowledge of risk management systems, OTC derivatives, trading platforms, or financial markets.
• Prior experience working in Agile teams with hands-on collaboration with engineering and QA.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour (Contract-to-Hire).
• If/when converted to the client’s payroll, benefits (where eligible) may include medical, dental & vision, 401(k), life insurance options, disability, HSA, and paid time off. Eligibility and offerings depend on classification and length of employment.

Location & Work Type

• This is a fully onsite, Contract-to-Hire role based in Andover / Wichita, KS (local reporting location: 67232). Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to commute to the client site as required.
