About the Role

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry‑Level Bridge Engineer to join its transportation/bridge team in Raleigh, NC. This role offers hands‑on bridge design, analysis and field work on transportation projects (NCDOT, MDOT, VDOT and municipal clients) with mentorship from experienced engineers. This is an onsite position based in Raleigh.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist with design and analysis of highway and transit-related bridges, culverts, and other transportation structures
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and plan sets
  • Support senior engineers in developing construction documents and specifications
  • Conduct fieldwork, including bridge inspections, data collection, and site visits as required
  • Use structural engineering principles and software tools to solve design challenges
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality project deliverables

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program required (Master’s preferred)
  • 0–4 years of relevant experience; internships and co‑op experience encouraged
  • EIT / FE certification preferred
  • NBIS inspection experience is a plus
  • Strong problem solving, written/verbal communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a design group setting
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. without employment‑based visa sponsorship; Confidential Client is not able to sponsor

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated salary range: $70,000 — $125,000 per year (good‑faith estimate; actual offer may vary based on experience and location)
