What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is seeking a Brand & Communications Assistant to support external branding, digital marketing, and internal communications initiatives. This is an entry-level, full-time role that combines content work, social media support, campaign coordination, and administrative tasks for the marketing team.
- Assist in writing and editing content for email, newsletters, website, blogs, client alerts, and social channels.
- Support the creation, posting, and basic management of social media content across platforms.
- Help coordinate marketing campaign deliverables, maintain content calendars, and track basic campaign performance metrics.
- Assist with video/audio content preparation and light editing workflows as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team—calendar management, meeting scheduling, and database upkeep.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather materials and ensure messaging consistency.
- Respond to general communications requests in a timely manner and stay current with communications best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field required.
- Entry-level role; prior internship or some experience in marketing, communications, or related work is preferred.
- Strong writing, editing, and research skills with the ability to synthesize information into clear narratives.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and a practical understanding of how to leverage them for engagement.
- Basic content creation skills; experience with video or multimedia is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with minimal direction.
Compensation & Work Type
- Employment type: Full-time, non-exempt (hourly).
- This position is hourly and eligible for an overtime plan that exceeds minimum legal requirements.
- Good-faith salary range (base): $60,000 to $72,000 per year (Chicago, IL). Exact compensation will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
