What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is looking for an entry-level Branch Claims Representative to join a claims team and handle the life cycle of property/casualty claims under close supervision. This is a training-focused role that combines hands-on case work with formal development and licensing support.
- Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level insurance claims
- Study policies, endorsements, and forms to build foundational product knowledge
- Learn and follow standardized claim handling procedures and systems
- Develop negotiation and settlement skills for entry-level claims
- Communicate professionally with agents, insureds, claimants, attorneys, and third parties
- Use estimating tools and designated loss-adjustment software as required
- Pursue and maintain adjuster license(s) where statute or business needs require
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct experience in property/casualty claims handling
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clear reports and correspondence
- Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex issues
- Commitment to confidentiality and data security
- Comfortable working with diverse individuals and stakeholders
- Basic math competency, including geometry (area/volume) and financial calculations
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company underwriting guidelines (ability to drive for inspections/meetings)
- Willingness to complete company-provided claims training and continuing product education
