What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Branch Claims Representative (entry-level / trainee) to support property & casualty claims. You will handle claims through the full lifecycle under close supervision and complete the company’s claims training program.
- Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level insurance claims
- Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to build product knowledge
- Follow Company claim handling procedures and documentation standards
- Develop negotiation and settlement skills for routine claims
- Communicate clearly with agents, insureds, claimants, third-parties, and legal counsel
- Use designated estimating and claims software to prepare loss evaluations
- Pursue and maintain required adjuster license(s) per state statute and company timelines
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct experience in property/casualty claims handling
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask while making independent decisions
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clear reports and correspondence
- Problem-solving skills for resolving complex issues
- Commitment to confidentiality and data security
- Comfort working with diverse groups of people
- Comfortable with basic geometry (area/volume) and financial calculations (sums, unit costs, reading finance documents)
- Ability to drive and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets underwriting guidelines
- Willingness to complete company training and ongoing professional development
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base salary: $74,482 per year (estimated)
