What You’ll Do
This entry-level Branch Claim Representative (Claims Trainee) role supports the full lifecycle of property & casualty insurance claims under close supervision. After completing an in-person training program, you may be eligible for a merit-based work-from-home schedule based on role requirements and leadership approval.
- Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level insurance claims
- Study policies, endorsements, and forms to build product knowledge
- Learn and follow company claim-handling procedures and best practices
- Communicate with agents, insureds, claimants, legal counsel, and third parties
- Develop negotiation and settlement skills for routine claim resolutions
- Use estimating tools and designated computer programs for loss adjustment
- Pursue and maintain required adjuster license(s) within company/legal timelines
- Complete the company’s claims training program and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent direct experience in property/casualty claims handling
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage data and multi-task effectively
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to draft reports and professional correspondence
- Problem-solving ability to resolve complex issues and exercise sound judgment
- Commitment to confidentiality and data security
- Comfortable working with a diverse set of stakeholders and claimants
- Basic math competency including geometry (area/volume) and financial calculations
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that meet company underwriting guidelines
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship
Preferred / Good to Have
- Prior exposure to property & casualty claims processes or insurance operations
- Experience using estimating or claims management software
- Customer service experience in a professional environment
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and follow structured training programs
