What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Body Tech Apprentice to support the service team and learn collision repair and vehicle maintenance workflows. This is a hands-on apprenticeship designed to develop your skills toward becoming a Service Technician.

  • Assist senior technicians with vehicle inspections and repair diagnostics
  • Help estimate repair and parts needs and assist with parts requests
  • Perform assigned repair and maintenance tasks under supervision
  • Document work performed and accurately record hours in timekeeping system
  • Use shop technology to support a positive customer experience (digital records, repair tracking)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow all safety rules
  • Participate in required training, including manufacturer- or NAPA-sponsored programs when available
  • Demonstrate Confidential Client standards for customer satisfaction (CSI) and core values

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you should demonstrate mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and reliable attendance.

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Up to 3 years of related automotive or collision experience preferred (entry-level candidates encouraged)
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Basic computer skills (timekeeping and parts/inventory systems)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with teammates and customers
  • Strong attention to safety and detail

Certificates & Training

  • Eligible for manufacturer training, NAPA training, and state inspection/emissions training (if applicable)
  • Technical training or commensurate hands-on experience is a plus

Physical & Environment Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Work performed primarily in a shop/service area; may be exposed to noise, fumes, vibration, and typical shop hazards
  • Scheduled shifts may include evenings, weekends, and some holidays
