Position summary

Confidential Client (an Academic Research Organization) is hiring Biostatisticians to join a collaborative Data Coordinating Center supporting multicenter clinical and public‑health research. You will support study design, statistical analysis, dataset development, reporting, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration using standard statistical methods and tools (SAS, R, Stata, SQL, REDCap). Open at multiple ranks (Entry → Career level).


Responsibilities

  • Ensure statistical integrity and accuracy of biomedical and clinical research data
  • Design analyses, build statistical models, and perform statistical testing
  • Program analyses and analytic deliverables (tables, figures, reports) using SAS, R, or Stata
  • Develop and maintain analysis datasets, specifications, and data quality checks
  • Interpret and clearly communicate methods, results, and limitations to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Consult with investigators, data managers, clinicians, and regulatory teams on statistical methods and interpretation
  • Support data system and database design (relational databases, REDCap, SQL) and maintain documentation for reproducibility
  • Maintain QA and documentation standards consistent with SOPs
  • Contribute to manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations; draft analysis sections and outputs
  • Troubleshoot statistical or data issues and propose solutions
  • Participate in professional development to stay current on methods and tools

Minimum qualifications

Candidates may be considered at one of three levels:

  • Biostatistician I: Bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 2 years related experience, or Master’s degree
  • Biostatistician II: Bachelor’s + 4 years, or Master’s + 2 years related experience
  • Biostatistician III: Bachelor’s + 6 years, or Master’s + 4 years related experience

Additional requirement:

  • Practical programming experience in at least one statistical language (SAS, R, or Stata)
  • Familiarity with relational databases and clinical data systems (e.g., SQL, REDCap)
  • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving, and communication skills

(Equivalency: 1 year of higher education may substitute for 1 year of related work experience.)


Preferred qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting multicenter clinical studies or working within a Data Coordinating Center / ARO
  • Experience producing regulatory‑quality submissions or responding to regulatory questions
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and contribute to scientific publications
