Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a motivated Biomedical Data Analyst to support analysis of large-scale 3D fluorescence microscopy datasets. You will collaborate with tissue processing, image acquisition, and Contract Research teams to run and validate analyses, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality quantitative results for internal teams and external scientific partners.

Salary: $90,000–$105,000 per year (listed range reflects the Confidential Client's published compensation for this role in Massachusetts).

What You’ll Do

• Run, validate, and troubleshoot image-analysis workflows for Contract Research projects to ensure accurate, timely results
• Perform quality control on analysis outputs and document validation steps
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (wet lab, imaging, and project managers) to integrate data and streamline handoffs
• Communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Maintain and improve components of image-analysis pipelines for large-scale 3D fluorescence microscopy datasets
• Support development of data engineering workflows (database management, ETL, and scalable storage/processing for large imaging datasets)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, bioengineering, computational biology, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with image processing for biological/biomedical applications
• Proficiency using Python for data science, scientific computing, automation, and image analysis
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively on a team
• Comfortable working across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with light microscopy, neuroscience, and immunohistochemistry
• Experience with software engineering best practices (version control, testing, code review)
• Exposure to machine learning/deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience building or maintaining data engineering / analysis pipelines for large datasets
