About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level BIM Engineer (VDC) for a full-time, on-site position in Fort Bliss, TX. This role supports project teams by managing 3D models, supporting reality-capture workflows (laser scanning, sUAS/photogrammetry, LiDAR), and coordinating VDC efforts between design, specialty trades, and field operations on mission-critical facilities.


What You’ll Do

  • Participate in on-site training and develop working knowledge of reality-capture and data-management practices
  • Support development and execution of VDC project execution plans and implementation strategies
  • Assist in management and coordination of architectural, MEPTF, structural, civil, specialty and site model components
  • Establish project alignment for 3D coordination and integration with primary control plans
  • Work with project-specific information management systems and support daily transmittals and deliveries
  • Assist with modeling scopes of self-perform work from construction documents, specifications, submittals, RFIs and shop drawings
  • Prepare models for lift drawings, model-based layout, AR/VR and integration with laser scans
  • Help produce visualization and construction content from early design through construction
  • Participate in jobsite safety initiatives and quality-control processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering
  • Proficiency with Autodesk tools — specifically AutoCAD and Revit
  • Exposure to BIM/VDC tools such as Navisworks, Synchro, SketchUp or similar suites
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of basic field layout principles and VDC/BIM concepts
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively in close-knit teams
  • Preferred: 3+ years in the building or design industry (preferred but not required for entry-level roles)

Physical Requirements

  • Light work: exert up to 25 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently
  • Periodic walking, kneeling, sitting, crouching, reaching, stooping, and typing
  • Frequent computer use and communication with project teams and stakeholders
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor elements depending on jobsite activities
