What You’ll Do
This is an outside sales role working with foodservice customers (restaurants, institutional accounts, and other foodservice operators) to promote products and services, build long-term relationships, and achieve sales and profit targets for the Confidential Client. The role may require some non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business, grow existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable territory sales growth.
- Seek and qualify prospects in line with account stratification goals.
- Assess customer needs and recommend a mix of products and services to meet those needs.
- Monitor market trends and recommend appropriate products to customers.
- Keep customers informed about product innovations, pricing, and competitive activity.
- Answer customer questions about products, pricing, availability, and usage.
- Provide product information and practical on-site training to customer staff.
- Drive to customer accounts, conventions, and meetings as required.
- Coordinate with credit and transportation teams to manage accounts receivable and delivery issues.
- Troubleshoot order problems such as out-of-stock or special-order items.
- Participate in company promotions, customer events, and sales/district meetings.
- Prepare sales budgets, reports, quotes, menu suggestions, and maintain sales records.
- Engage in ongoing training and assist with onboarding new employees as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related discipline OR high school diploma/GED plus 3 years’ restaurant management, B2B, or outside sales experience (or equivalent relevant experience, including completion of a relevant sales internship).
- Valid driver’s license with driving record meeting company insurability standards.
- Current automobile insurance meeting these minimum limits: Bodily injury — $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident; Property damage — $100,000.
- Reside in (or be willing to relocate to) the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory.
- Ability to pass employment testing and to sign Confidential Client’s protective covenants/agreement as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (preferred).
- Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base salary: $56,000 per year (estimated).

Skills & Competencies
- Basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual skills are a plus.
