Position Overview

Confidential Client (Teaching) is hiring a Bilingual Elementary Instructional Fellow in Austin, TX. This is an entry-level, full-time instructional role (187–190 contract days) reporting to the Campus Principal and the Multi-Classroom Leader (MCL). The position supports classroom instruction through small-group (Tier 2) teaching, co-planning, and classroom management. Salary: $37,080 per year.


What You’ll Do

  • Co-plan lessons and instructional small-group activities with the Multi-Classroom Leader (MCL).
  • Deliver Tier 2 small-group instruction to elementary scholars in English and Spanish.
  • Prepare instructional materials and learning resources for multiple classrooms.
  • Manage the classroom environment and supervise students during class time and school activities.
  • Monitor and record scholar performance data and share results with the MCL and campus leadership.
  • Support scholar engagement, maintain discipline, and facilitate positive social-emotional development.
  • Communicate with families and school staff about scholar progress and needs.
  • Cover instruction when the MCL is absent and follow coaching and professional development guidance.

Qualifications

  • Paraprofessional Certificate from the appropriate agency (required).
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (required).
  • Associate’s Degree preferred; working toward a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with individuals and small groups of children from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and families.
  • Demonstrated organization, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach and openness to coaching.
  • Must meet all State and Federal requirements for the role and present proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

Physical Effort & Work Environment

  • Primarily works in a standard classroom environment with regular movement (standing, walking, bending, kneeling).
  • May require light lifting of instructional materials (approximately 20–40 lbs).
  • May involve occasional physical assistance for students (dressing, toileting) and rare exposure to blood or body fluids.
  • Willingness to support scholars both during and outside the regular school day, including field trips and school events.
  • Regular attendance is required.
