What You’ll Do
As a Business Intelligence / Health Data Analyst working with our confidential client you will turn clinical and administrative healthcare data into actionable insights and reliable reporting. Your work will support pricing, capitation, network and provider reporting, and ad-hoc analyses used across departments.
- Execute, develop, test, validate and distribute reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and present findings, trends and recommendations.
- Pull, integrate and transform data from multiple databases; perform statistical analysis and basic data modeling.
- Automate repeatable reports and maintain documentation for the departmental data warehouse.
- Support and enhance existing reports and analytic programs; implement programming modifications as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Create beginner to intermediate level reports and ad-hoc analyses based on stakeholder specifications.
- Determine appropriate tools and approaches to complete projects on time and efficiently.
- Prepare written and verbal summaries of analytical results for non-technical audiences.
- Maintain documentation for data sources, ETL processes and departmental reporting.
- Participate in validation and QA of reports prior to distribution.
Qualifications
- Ability to apply mathematical and statistical techniques to health-related data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present results clearly and concisely.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Successful completion of Health Care Sanctions background check is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or other quantitative discipline preferred.
- 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
- Demonstrated use of analytical software; SAS or SQL preferred.
- Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred.
Preferred Skills
- SQL querying and database experience.
- Familiarity with SAS or other statistical programming languages.
- Experience building automated reports and scheduled data pipelines.
- Basic understanding of healthcare data elements, claims or clinical datasets is a plus.
Additional Information
- Employment Type: Full-time (direct hire by Confidential Client).
- This position is located in Tulsa, OK. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
