Role Overview

This is a junior-level, full-time BI Data Analyst / Data Scientist opportunity supporting a confidential client. The role is remote-friendly with a primary location listed as Johnson City, TN. What You’ll Do

You will work with cross-functional teams to turn data into actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.

• Support data collection, cleaning, and transformation for analysis and reporting
• Build and maintain BI reports and dashboards that communicate trends and KPIs
• Assist in exploratory data analysis and basic statistical modeling to answer business questions
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to define metrics and data requirements
• Document analyses, methods, and assumptions clearly for team review
• Participate in learning initiatives to grow technical skills and apply best practices

What We’re Looking For

We seek motivated, coachable candidates who are early in their data careers or transitioning into data roles.

• Entry-level or junior experience (internships, coursework, projects, bootcamps, or limited professional experience)
• Familiarity with data-focused programming (examples in source posting include Python and/or Java)
• Interest or exposure to data engineering / BI / data science workflows
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving ability
• Good written and verbal communication — able to present findings clearly
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced IT setting

• Project or coursework experience building dashboards or simple models
• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL concepts, or basic machine learning ideas
• Any hands-on projects demonstrating Python/Java usage for data tasks

Compensation & Location

• Employment type: Full-time
• Salary range (provided by client): $79,000 - $127,000 per year
• Location: Johnson City, TN (Remote-friendly; U.S.-based applicants preferred)
