What You’ll Do
Our confidential client is seeking an entry-level Benefits Coordinator to support day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs. Reporting to the Benefits Operations Manager and working closely with a Benefits Specialist, you will assist employees with benefits questions, maintain accurate records, and support enrollments from new hire through open enrollment.
- Assist with benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Support new-hire onboarding and benefits orientation
- Maintain accurate benefit records and employee files
- Respond to employee questions related to benefits and eligibility
- Enter and update employee information in HR and benefits systems (HRIS)
- Assist with audits, payroll deduction verification, and reporting
- Communicate with insurance carriers and vendors on routine requests
- Support open enrollment activities, employee communications, and special projects
What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for someone organized, detail-oriented, service-minded, and eager to learn HR and benefits administration.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; basic data entry and reporting skills
- Ability and willingness to learn HRIS and benefits administration systems
- Professionalism in handling confidential information
- Customer-service mindset and a positive attitude
- Associate's or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Additional Details
- Location: Lincolnshire Woods, IL — onsite with potential to work hybrid 1–2 days per week
- Employment type: Full-time; Contract with potential to hire (entry-level)
- Estimated compensation: $52,818 per year (estimated)
- Benefits for contract professionals may include medical, vision, dental, life & disability insurance; hired contractors may be eligible for 401(k)
