Position Overview
Confidential Client (a global professional services firm) seeks a Benefits Analyst to support day-to-day benefits administration and employee-facing support. This is an entry- to junior-level, full-time role based in New York, NY, ideal for a detail-oriented HR/benefits professional who wants to grow within a total rewards team.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with administration of benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, COBRA, retirement plans, and leave programs.
- Support annual open enrollment and new-hire benefits enrollment processes.
- Prepare and distribute benefits communications and education materials.
- Respond to routine employee benefit inquiries and escalate complex issues to senior benefits staff.
- Maintain accurate benefits records in HRIS and vendor systems; support vendor communication and audits.
- Assist with benefits data tracking, reporting, reconciliation, and billing review in collaboration with Payroll/Accounting.
- Support system testing, process improvements, and benefits-related HR projects.
- Conduct benefits onboarding for new hires and provide administrative support during Open Enrollment.
- Track employee feedback and FAQs to improve benefit communications.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in HR, benefits administration, or related role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills preferred.
Preferred
- Experience with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred).
- Exposure to payroll systems (ADP preferred).
- Prior benefits administration or HR operations experience.
- Interest in professional benefits credentials (CEBS, GBA).
- Experience in architecture, design, or professional services firms is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $65,000 – $85,000 per year (actual compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications).
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision; 401(k) with company match; paid time off and other standard perks.
- Full-time, in-person position (5 days per week).
