Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Bench Scientist I to join a pharmaceutical / life sciences team in Cambridge, MA. This is a contract, onsite position supporting molecular profiling and bioconjugation projects. The role is ideal for candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant life-science discipline and hands-on lab experience with proteins, biological samples, or cell culture.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine laboratory activities to support molecular profiling and bioconjugation workflows.
- Handle, prepare, and work with proteins, biological samples, and cell culture materials.
- Prepare solutions, buffers, and reagents following established protocols.
- Execute experimental procedures with accuracy, including pipetting and sample preparation.
- Support bioconjugation experiments under the guidance of senior scientists.
- Receive, organize, track, and maintain laboratory materials, compounds, and inventory.
- Assist with sample allocation, shipping, and general laboratory logistics.
- Maintain accurate experimental records using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs).
- Analyze, summarize, and communicate experimental data through reports and presentations.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to support project goals.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Hands-on laboratory experience from academic research, internships, or industry settings.
- Experience handling proteins, biological samples, and cell cultures.
- Knowledge of fundamental laboratory techniques and scientific principles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new techniques quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
