Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician I in Seattle, WA. This front-line role supports a recovery-focused residential/inpatient program by facilitating therapeutic groups, providing milieu support, assisting with supervised meals, and helping clients develop skills to manage eating disorders and related behavioral health conditions.

Compensation & schedule

• Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
• Employment type: Full time (32 hours/week)
• Schedule: Must have weekend availability
• Final pay within listed range will be based on qualifications and experience

What you’ll do

• Facilitate therapeutic activity groups (art, music, journaling, mindfulness, relaxation, games)
• Participate in therapeutic supported meals and snacks
• Provide milieu support, including escorting clients to on-site appointments
• Engage, coach, and support residents to reinforce treatment goals
• Complete clinical documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
• Maintain confidentiality of client protected health information and proprietary information
• Participate in scheduled supervision and proactively seek guidance as needed
• Complete assigned mandatory trainings and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree or at least 2 years of related healthcare experience preferred (e.g., paraprofessional, mental health technician, behavior specialist, recovery coach)
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field and/or relevant certifications preferred

Professional / Experience

• Entry-level role — preferred: 6+ months direct client care/milieu experience in mental/behavioral health or healthcare (experience with eating disorders a plus)
• Completion of a Preceptor Program preferred

Other requirements (site-specific)

• Employees at residential sites must have a valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire (for residential roles)
• First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire (for residential roles)
• Washington residential sites: Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit required within 30 days of hire
