What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (RBT / entry-level) to deliver hands-on, play-based instructional support to children diagnosed with autism. You will work under the direct supervision of a BCBA to implement individualized treatment plans that teach language, social, and adaptive skills while managing challenging behaviors.
- Provide direct, one-on-one instructional services using ABA methods developed from client assessments
- Implement behavior plans and teaching procedures as directed by the supervising BCBA
- Teach age-appropriate skills through play and structured activities
- Track progress: collect data, graph results, and maintain session materials
- Receive supervision, incorporate feedback, and participate in team planning for individualized treatment
Schedule & Location
- Part-time role — must be available two afternoons per week from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Stony Point, NY (role supports center- and home-based services)
- This listing indicates telecommute/remote flexibility in scheduling in addition to in-person sessions
Required Qualifications
- College-age applicants working toward a bachelor’s degree (any major), or equivalent
- Comfortable working with children and providing physical support when needed (ability to lift up to 30 lbs)
- Reliable transportation to travel between client sites as required
- Able to work the specified afternoon schedule (two afternoons per week, 3:00–6:00 PM)
- Willingness to learn and accept ongoing supervision from a BCBA
Preferred / Helpful
- CPR/BLS certification (preferred but not required)
- Interest in becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to complete RBT training
- Previous babysitting, childcare, tutoring, or similar experience is a strong plus

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated annual pay: $35,704 (per Adzuna estimate) — part-time, hourly equivalent applies
- 1 hour of paid time off for every 30 hours worked
