What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a full-time Behavior Technician to deliver high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in a clinic setting. In this role you will implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision to help children with developmental disabilities reach meaningful milestones.
- Deliver one-on-one and small-group ABA interventions using behavior-analytic principles
- Implement individualized treatment plans created by a BCBA
- Teach communication, social, play, daily living, and adaptive skills
- Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based behavior reduction strategies
- Accurately collect and record behavioral data to inform ongoing assessment
- Collaborate with BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, psychologists, and families to coordinate care
- Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for clients
- Participate in required training and professional development to grow clinically
Schedule & Location
- Location: Andover, KS (on-site)
- Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 PM–6:00 PM
- Employment type: Full-time
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Human Services, Child Development, Social Work, Behavioral Science, or related field preferred
- Experience working with children, autism, developmental disabilities, special education, childcare, or direct support preferred
- Experience providing ABA therapy or behavioral intervention is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, patient, and able to remain calm in challenging situations
- Basic computer and documentation skills
Certifications & Pre-Employment Requirements
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential preferred; candidates interested in obtaining RBT certification are encouraged to apply
- CPR certification required (or ability to obtain)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or equivalent training required (or ability to obtain)
- All offers contingent on successful completion of fingerprinting, state and federal background checks, drug screen, physical examination, and reference verification
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and assisting students with daily activities
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist students as needed
- Ability to safely perform approved crisis intervention techniques
- Ability to respond quickly during emergencies
- Occasional exposure to bodily fluids and other situations common in clinical and care settings while following safety procedures
