What You’ll Do

This position supports design, programming, and commissioning of Building Automation Systems (BAS) for our confidential client in Raleigh, NC. You will:

• Review project mechanical and electrical plans, specifications, and customer requirements
• Develop BAS design packages (Sequence of Operations, Wiring Diagrams, Schematics, Bill of Materials, Schedules)
• Program and build software databases to meet system requirements
• Provide technical support to field installation teams during install and commissioning
• Perform quality checks and verify system operability before and throughout installation
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to deliver reliable BAS solutions

Who You Are / Qualifications

Minimum (Entry-level) qualifications:

• Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent (GPA requested) — degree may be offset by 4+ years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (C, C++, Java, Python, VBA, or similar)
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail
• Positive team player with effective communication skills

Preferred / Advanced qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field (or 3+ years of BAS design/programming experience)
• BAS experience with systems such as Distech, Alerton, Delta, Tridium (function block, ladder, or text-based programming)
• Experience producing CAD deliverables (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
• Experience interpreting mechanical and electrical plans and specifications
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter and to influence project outcomes
