About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring a Barista for its Reserve Cafe experience at a flagship Roastery location in Chicago, IL. This is an entry-level, hands‑on role focused on specialty coffee and culinary preparation in a fast-paced, high‑service environment. Pay range: $19.00 - $21.57 per hour (hourly).

What You’ll Do

• Act as a coffee and food expert and Brand Ambassador for the Reserve Cafe experience.
• Prepare, finish, and assemble beverage and culinary items to recipe and presentation standards.
• Maintain product quality, follow health/sanitation guidelines, and uphold operational procedures.
• Support inventory, receiving, storage, and production planning to maintain item availability.
• Stock and maintain displays, cases, and workstations for sales and service.
• Anticipate customer needs, deliver exceptional service, and recommend food/beverage pairings.
• Work calmly during high-volume or ambiguous situations; contribute to a positive team environment.
• Rotate through multiple store departments (zones) and assist with proofing doughs and laminates as required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of specialty retail or food service experience is beneficial but not required.
• Familiarity with coffee or culinary preparation, baking, or pizza-making is a plus.
• Basic culinary knife skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• High attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable learning quickly in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
• Able to work collaboratively within a large, matrixed team and build relationships quickly.
• Additional languages, presentation/facilitation skills, or culinary certification are advantageous.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay: $19.00 - $21.57 per hour.
