What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Main Bar Barista to deliver a premium coffee and food experience in a flagship reserve-style roastery environment in Manhattan, NY. You will welcome customers, provide expert product recommendations, prepare high-quality beverages and food items, and support fast-paced service while maintaining operational and safety standards.
- Act as a coffee & food expert and brand ambassador for Confidential Client’s reserve-style experience
- Prepare and serve beverages, whole-bean products, and food items to recipe and presentation standards
- Provide personalized recommendations and equipment demonstrations to guests
- Maintain composure and outstanding service during high-volume periods and special events
- Follow health, safety, sanitation, and cash-handling policies
- Support inventory receiving, stocking, and production planning to ensure product availability
- Contribute to a positive, team-first environment and support cross-functional work across store zones
Responsibilities
- Deliver consistently excellent customer service and anticipate guests’ needs
- Keep workstation, display tables, and cases clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Operate specialty brewing equipment and assist with product demonstrations
- Prepare, finish, and assemble beverage and food items (includes proofing doughs/laminates where applicable)
- Support store events and full-service models when required
- Adhere to all operational policies and safety procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in service, culinary, restaurant, theater, specialty retail, or hospitality preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks (bend, lift up to 35 lb, reach, climb stairs)
- Strong oral and written English proficiency
- Ability to memorize menu items, beverage and food builds
- Health-code certification as required by jurisdiction
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of specialty retail or hospitality sales experience
- Baking, culinary, or pizza-making experience and/or certification
- Basic culinary knife skills and food-handling experience
- Facilitation, presentation, and customer-engagement skills
- Multilingual skills are a plus
- Fast learner with strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $18.75 – $21.28 per hour (hourly range provided by the client)
