What You’ll Do

As an Azure Software Engineer (Senior Associate) with our confidential client, you will design, build, test, and maintain cloud-native software solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will work across the full development lifecycle — from requirements analysis and architecture to implementation, testing, and deployment — and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and well-tested applications.

  • Develop and implement Azure-native applications and services
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments
  • Write production-quality code using Java, Python, and JavaScript
  • Design and integrate microservices and APIs for interoperable systems
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews for enterprise applications
  • Lead and contribute to testing and quality assurance activities
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance and reliability
  • Apply analytical thinking to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Support business process improvements and requirements analysis

Minimum Qualifications (What You Must Have)

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience
  • Hands-on experience with Azure native development patterns and services
  • Experience with one or more of: Java, Python, JavaScript
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and pipeline workflows
  • Experience working with APIs, microservices, and enterprise application architecture
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills

Preferred / Differentiators (What Sets You Apart)

  • Experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) or similar test-first approaches
  • Demonstrated experience implementing CI/CD at scale
  • Deep familiarity with microservices patterns and API integrations
  • Background in business process improvement, requirements analysis, or systems integration
  • Strong learning agility, intellectual curiosity, and ability to mentor peers
  • Experience in regulated or enterprise environments (financial services, consulting) is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $77,000 - $202,000 per year. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will comply with applicable laws.
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus where applicable.
  • Benefits typically include medical, dental, vision, retirement plan (401k), paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave. Specific benefits depend on location and the confidential client’s policies.

Location & Travel

  • Job location: New York, NY (on-site / client location as required).
  • Travel: Up to 80% (role may require substantial travel depending on client engagements).
