The Opportunity
As an Azure Software Engineer — Senior Associate, you will design, build, test, and deliver cloud-native applications and services using Azure technologies. Working within a Cloud Engineering, Data & Analytics practice, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable, maintainable solutions. In this role you will deepen your technical strengths, mentor teammates, and help shape client-facing deliverables while navigating complex technical and business requirements on enterprise projects for a confidential client.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement software solutions using Azure-native development patterns and services
- Build, test, and maintain enterprise application architecture that supports scalability and reliability
- Write clean, maintainable code using Java, Python, and/or JavaScript
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments
- Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards to ensure software quality
- Debug and troubleshoot production and pre-production issues to optimize performance
- Integrate microservices and APIs for application interoperability
- Lead software testing and quality assurance efforts, including automated and acceptance tests
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to refine requirements
- Apply analytical and critical thinking to solve complex engineering problems
What You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with Azure services and cloud-native development
- Proficiency in at least one of: Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Experience with CI/CD tooling and pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Authorization to work in the U.S. (applicants requiring visa sponsorship should verify eligibility with the hiring team)
What Sets You Apart
- Experience using Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) or other test-first approaches
- Demonstrated work with microservices architecture and API design/integration
- Background in enterprise application architecture and business process improvement
- Prior involvement designing or maintaining CI/CD and automated testing pipelines
- Intellectual curiosity, learning agility, and the ability to mentor more junior engineers
- Familiarity with cloud observability, monitoring, and performance tuning tools
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $77,000 - $202,000 (actual compensation dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable law)
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
