What You’ll Do

This role is for an AWS Java Full Stack Engineer working with the confidential client to design, build, test, and support web applications across the full software development lifecycle.

• Participate in requirements elicitation and document assigned business/functional requirements.
• Facilitate design discussions and capture design decisions for the technical team.
• Implement new features and enhancements using Java, Spring / Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and integrate backend services.
• Develop and maintain front-end components using Angular.
• Participate in code reviews, maintain repositories, and follow coding standards.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and test automation to support frequent releases.
• Deploy and operate services on AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch).
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes and preventive measures.
• Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and user training materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, product, DevOps) to deliver stable solutions.

What We’re Looking For

Required qualifications and core skills — candidates should demonstrate practical experience or coursework in these areas. This role is listed at an entry / early-career level but expects hands-on technical capability.

• Java Full Stack development experience (Java, Spring, Spring Boot).
• Experience building microservices and RESTful web services.
• Front-end experience with Angular.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on with AWS core services: EC2, EKS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch.
• Version control experience (Git) and source repo workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent OR equivalent progressive experience (per job requirements).
• Ability to relocate or travel to the project location if required.

Preferred / nice-to-have

• Experience with GitLab and Terraform.
• Prior experience with UI/Web technologies and REST web services in production settings.
