What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an experienced AWS Java Full Stack Engineer to help design, build, and maintain cloud-native web applications. You will work across the full software development lifecycle—participating in requirements gathering, design discussions, hands-on development, testing, and production support.
- Contribute to requirements elicitation and document assigned business requirements.
- Participate in software design discussions and document technical design decisions.
- Write, review, and maintain Java-based backend code (Spring / Spring Boot / microservices).
- Implement and integrate REST APIs and new features into existing applications.
- Develop and maintain Angular-based front-end components.
- Deploy and operate services using AWS core services (EC2, EKS, SNS, SQS, Lambda, CloudWatch).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow DevOps best practices for build and deployment.
- Implement test strategies, analyze test results, and coordinate bug fixes.
- Maintain code repositories, perform code reviews, and keep documentation and runbooks current.
- Assist in resolving production incidents and recommend reliability improvements.
What We’re Looking For (Required)
- Experience in Java full-stack development.
- Strong knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, microservices patterns, and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development.
- Practical experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, SNS, SQS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- 3+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent education + experience).
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building RESTful web services and integrating UI with backend services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling, DevOps workflows, and test automation frameworks.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
- Prior exposure to financial services projects or regulated environments is a plus.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required (or three years of progressive experience in lieu of each year of education).
